Jennifer N. Berry is an associate in the Scottsdale hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Berry is an analytical, energetic, and detail-oriented trial attorney with experience in general and civil litigation, breach of contract, and criminal defense matters, including case analysis, evidence review, witness interviews, motions practice, plea negotiations, and client-focused treatment referrals. She is dedicated to developing well-researched strategies aimed at achieving the best results, whether through negotiated resolutions or litigation.
As a trial attorney, Ms. Berry has represented clients in both misdemeanor and felony matters, guiding them through every stage of the litigation process. Her experience includes negotiating pleas, drafting and arguing motions, investigating and analyzing cases, and preparing for and conducting trials. She has also mentored junior attorneys and law clerks, sharing her knowledge in research, evidence review, and courtroom practices.
Her background includes service as a judicial law clerk for the New Mexico Court of Appeals, where she researched and analyzed complex and unsettled legal issues, helped draft legal opinions, and managed court records. Ms. Berry also has experience as a Guardian Ad Litem in the Child and Family Justice Clinic, successfully advocating for alternatives to full guardianship and drafting legal agreements that promoted client autonomy. She has worked extensively in criminal defense, including cases involving serious violent offenses, and is skilled in applying state, federal, and local laws to achieve client objectives.
As a graduate of the University of New Mexico School of Law, Ms. Berry earned her Juris Doctor in 2021 while gaining hands-on experience through the Child and Family Justice Clinic. Before law school, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology from the University of New Mexico, completed in 2012, providing her with a foundation for understanding the behavioral and psychological aspects often present in her cases.
