Jeremy C. Smith is an associate in the West Palm Beach office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He focuses his practice on healthcare and is involved in litigation and regulatory compliance in the representation of hospitals, health plans, health insurers, pharmaceutical, medical device, private group practice, nursing and assisted living facilities, home health agencies and hospitals. Mr. Smith's practice involves negotiating agreements to facilitate smooth transactions. His practice is also emphasized in the areas of automotive negligence, premises liability and employment claims.

Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Smith was an attorney with a large Florida law firm where he counseled clients on clinical integration and federal healthcare reform, he drafted clinical trial agreements involving litigation, insurance, and indemnity clauses and agreements outlining strategy and structure between large hospitals and various pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations. Previously, he served as an assistant public defender and as an assistant state attorney in Florida's Fifth Judicial Circuit, managing a large caseload and handling every aspect of litigation, including jury trials.

Mr. Smith has years of experience in healthcare IT consulting. His experience includes working with medical practices transitioning from paper-based charts to electronic health records (EHR), advising on EHR best practices and aiding with technology transfer, HIPAA privacy and security regulation compliance.

Mr. Smith received his Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Advocacy from Stetson University College of Law, Gulfport, Florida in May 2014, a Master of Laws in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law (pending completion of thesis with an anticipated completion date of December 2022), and a Bachelor of Science in Management from Missouri State University in December 2005.

He is licensed to practice law in Florida.
