John K. Godre is of counsel to Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. He concentrates his practice in complex civil litigation and class actions, labor and employment, commercial litigation, and personal injury. He has extensive experience handling collective bargaining agreements and with disputes involving labor negotiations. He has attained the highest rating of an AV® Preeminent(TM) from Martindale Hubbell Law Directory.
For nearly 25 years, Mr. Godre represented the financial services industry; he was Managing Counsel of Ford Motor Credit Company's Global Auto Finance & Operations, where he handled a variety of civil and class action litigation matters. In this position, he managed a $4 billion portfolio of cases that included class actions, lender liability, dealer defaults, and personal injury. Previously, he was Assistant Corporation Counsel of the County of Wayne, Michigan, where he specialized in tax and labor litigation matters in both state and federal courts, and in appeals, mediation, and arbitration. Prior to joining QPWB, he was of counsel with a Fort Myers litigation-focused law firm, where he advised on matters involving commercial litigation, class action, and employment litigation.
Mr. Godre is licensed to practice law in Michigan and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan. He is also admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Mr. Godre received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Wayne State University in 1972 and Bachelor of Science from Eastern Michigan University in 1967.
