Jillian D. Rice is a partner in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Rice has been a successful civil litigation attorney for more than two decades. Both in and out of the courtroom, she thrives in dynamic environments that offer an array of challenges and prides herself on being a creative team player with superior oral and written communication skills. Her areas of expertise are recognized in employment law, insurance defense, trust and probate lawsuits, land and zoning use, commercial litigation, personal injury defense, and alternative dispute resolution.
Ms. Rice provides advice and counsel on a broad variety of complex issues for multi-billion dollar organizations, which includes not only being responsible for overseeing all areas of the company and evaluating risks, but additionally for advising leadership, conducting internal audits, and handling insurance defense work. She also has experience supporting and supervising risk management, corporate compliance, and human resources departments in development, implementation, and management of employee processes, policies, and procedures.
With her extensive trial experience, Ms. Rice leads counsel on criminal defense matters from arraignment through trial or other resolution, handling insurance defense work, specifically bodily injury and property defense, trust and probate lawsuits, and contract negotiations, from inception through completion. She manages all trial preparation for litigation by developing strategies and arguments in preparation for the presentation of cases. She works with senior executives, management, and businesses to resolve pre-litigation disputes and to analyze probable outcomes of cases using knowledge of legal precedents.
In 2006, Ms. Rice attended Barry University School of Law in Orlando, Florida, to obtain her Juris Doctor and the University of Florida in 2002 to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology.
Licensed to practice law in Florida, Ms. Rice is admitted to the United States District Court, Middle District of Florida. In addition to her trial and litigation practice, Ms. Rice is an exceptional public speaker and negotiator. She is a member of the Florida Bar Association, Brevard County Bar Association, and Mensa International.
