John Jacob Miller is an associate in the Memphis Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., concentrating his practice on civil litigation and insurance defense matters, representing clients across a broad range of complex disputes. Mr. Miller's areas of practice include automotive liability, business and commercial litigation, civil litigation, construction defect and construction litigation, general liability, hospitals and acute care facilities, insurance and insurers, medical malpractice defense, nursing home defense, premises liability, product liability, professional malpractice defense, and trucking and transportation.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Miller represented businesses and insurance carriers with a broad range of legal issues at a regional firm. He has represented clients in hearings, mediations, and settlement proceedings and conducted complex legal research on liability, workers' compensation, labor and employment matters, HIPAA, and other civil litigation issues.
Mr. Miller also served as a law clerk to The Honorable Justice David Chandler with the Mississippi Administrative Office of Courts, where he drafted opinions, orders, and memoranda addressing state and federal law issues and evaluated petitions and motions for substantive and procedural sufficiency. His other professional experiences include working with a number of agencies, organizations, and political candidates to draft rules and policy change recommendations, formulate perception management and advocacy strategy, and provide legal support to investigations involving financial crime and Medicaid mismanagement.
In 2023, Mr. Miller earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law. During law school, he served as a Moot Court Board Member and received the Contract Drafting & Negotiation Award as Top Negotiator. Before attending law school, he earned his Bachelor of Science from Mississippi University for Women in 2020.
Mr. Miller is admitted to practice in Tennessee.
