John M. Kotleski is an associate in the Chicago Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where he focuses his practice on trucking and transportation litigation, catastrophic loss, construction disputes, medical malpractice, professional liability, and insurance coverage. Mr. Kotleski represents clients throughout all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigation and strategy through trial. He approaches each case with an open mind and emphasizes clear communication, believing that strong client relationships are foundational to successful outcomes.
Before beginning his legal practice, Mr. Kotleski spent over five years in Japan working for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. As a project manager, he led several high-profile military construction projects throughout Japan and Okinawa, strengthening partnerships between the U.S. military and local Japanese government agencies. This international experience sharpened his project management skills and taught him how to navigate complex, high-stakes environments, insights that now enhance his litigation practice.
Mr. Kotleski earned his Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin. Outside of the office, Mr. Kotleski values balance and believes that well-being is essential to professional performance. He enjoys golfing, staying active through fitness, spending quality time with his family, and home brewing.
Mr. Kotleski is admitted to practice law in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a member of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Chicago.
