John P. Lynch Jr. is a partner in the Chicago Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., specializing in the defense of transportation, construction, product liability, and commercial liability cases throughout federal and state courts. With a wealth of trial experience, Mr. Lynch has successfully represented construction companies, design professionals, trucking firms, manufacturers, and property owners in high-stakes cases involving catastrophic injuries, wrongful deaths, construction defects, and toxic torts, including asbestos-related matters. Guiding clients through trials, arbitrations, and appeals, he skillfully navigates business disputes involving dissolution, non-compete issues, unfair trade practices, and class actions.
Mr. Lynch is a Certified Litigation Management Professional, awarded by the CLM, and holds an AV® rating from Martindale-Hubbell®, indicating the highest levels of skill and integrity, as reflected by his peers in the legal community.
Earning his B.B.A. from St. Norbert College in 1985 and his Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law in 1988, Mr. Lynch is licensed to practice in Illinois and is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of Illinois; the Eastern District of Wisconsin; the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana; and the Western District of Michigan. He is a member of the Federal Trial Bar, the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC), the Defense Research Institute, and the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance (CLM).
For several years Mr. Lynch served on the Board of Directors of the IDC and regularly contributed to the IDC Quarterly. His writings have appeared in the Tort & Insurance Law Journal and the TIPS Products, General Liability, and Consumer Law Newsletter of the ABA. In 2002, he was named one of the "40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch" by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company. Since 2008, he has been recognized as a "Super Lawyer" in Civil Defense Litigation and Business Litigation by Law & Politics magazine and as a Leading Lawyer in Transportation Defense, Personal Injury Defense, Product Liability Defense, and Commercial Litigation by Law Bulletin Media. Additionally, he holds an OSHA 10-Hour Construction Safety Certification, enhancing his ability to serve his construction clients effectively.
