Jonathan E. Williams is an associate in the Memphis hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. His practice encompasses a broad range of matters in civil litigation, bankruptcy, creditors' rights and financial services, insurance defense, real estate transactions, risk management, and contractual property disputes. Mr. Williams represents clients in both state and federal courts, providing strategic counsel on complex issues and guiding them through litigation from pre-suit to resolution. He is well-versed in handling Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy matters, drawing on his strong analytical skills and attention to detail to develop effective case strategies.
Mr. Williams' practice is complemented by his background in the financial sector. Previously, he worked for a multi-national financial institution as a Financial Crimes Specialist in the Fraud Detection department. In that role, he investigated complex fraud cases, ensured compliance with government regulations, collaborated with risk management teams, and partnered with VISA to recover funds and mitigate institutional exposure. Having this foundation in financial operations and regulatory compliance assists his approach to representing clients in banking, creditors' rights, and commercial litigation matters.
Mr. Williams earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he was Vice President of Vol to Law and served on the Transactions: Tennessee Journal of Business Law. In 2019, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Spanish, from Radford University. He was active in Lambda Alpha Epsilon Criminal Justice Fraternity and served as a Criminal Justice Recruitment Speaker.
Admitted to practice law in Tennessee, Mr. Williams has a strong professional interest in contracts, banking and financial services, insurance law, and real estate matters. Outside of his work, he enjoys fishing, kayaking, traveling, and golf.
