Jorie Zajicek, RN, JD is an associate in the Nashville hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.  She leverages her healthcare knowledge while focusing primarily on the representation of physicians, nurses, hospitals and skilled nursing facilities in medical malpractice matters involving claims of abuse and neglect, negligence, violation of resident's rights, wrongful death and breach of contract. With a commitment to advocating for individuals during their most challenging moments, she also has experience in family law and criminal defense, navigating all phases of legal proceedings, from investigation and discovery to mediation and trial.

Ms. Zajicek's background as a nurse provides her with a unique perspective, particularly in cases involving healthcare and patient care. Before pursuing her legal career, she worked as a stem-cell transplant nurse at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she managed the complex care of hematology and oncology patients. This hands-on experience enables her to address the medical nuances of her cases with exceptional insight and to craft tailored strategies for her clients.

In 2021, Ms. Zajicek earned her Juris Doctor from Belmont University College of Law in Nashville, Tennessee. During law school, she distinguished herself through her academic contributions, including publishing her article, "To Err is Human, Unless You're a Health Care Provider," in the Belmont Health Law Journal. Before entering the legal field, she graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, laying a foundation that continues to enhance her practice.

Ms. Zajicek is admitted to practice in Tennessee and before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee. She is an active member of the legal community, serving on the Executive Board of the Lawyers' Association for Women, where she was presented with the President's Award for her contributions.
