Joseph C. Svetanoff is a senior partner in the Merrillville Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Svetanoff focuses his practice on municipal and local government law, corporate and commercial transactions, planning and zoning, utilities, real estate, estate planning and probate, and employment law. He provides strategic guidance to individuals, businesses, and public entities across Indiana and Illinois.
As a respected municipal law attorney, Mr. Svetanoff represents numerous public-sector clients, including town councils, zoning boards, plan commissions, clerk-treasurers, township trustees, utility boards, and school districts. He is regularly called upon for legal matters involving land use, municipal finance, and governance. His employment law practice includes advising employers on EEOC compliance, FMLA, wage and hour issues, and employee relations, offering both practical and legal perspectives.
Mr. Svetanoff earned his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Butler University. Licensed in to practice in Indiana and Illinois, Mr. Svetanoff is admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
