Joseph Hawkins is an associate in the Orlando Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where he focuses his practice on personal injury defense, premises liability, auto negligence, and general civil litigation. He represents clients through all stages of litigation, including discovery, dispositive motion practice, settlement negotiations, and trial.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Hawkins worked as an associate at a Florida-based defense firm, where he handled a wide range of high-exposure personal injury cases. He has experience deposing plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts and has successfully argued motions before the court. Mr. Hawkins also regularly advises insurance carriers and clients on coverage issues, case valuations, and litigation strategy.
Mr. Hawkins earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Barry University School of Law, where he was an active member of the Moot Court Honors Board and earned multiple Book Awards for top academic performance in Trial Advocacy and First Amendment Law. He also competed in national competitions, advancing to the Sweet Sixteen round in the William B. Spong Jr. Moot Court Invitational. Before attending law school, he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a pre-law concentration from Coastal Carolina University, where he graduated magna cum laude and served as lead counsel on the mock trial team.
Licensed to practice law in Florida, Mr. Hawkins is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
