In 2014, Mr. Shafer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminology from the University of South Florida, followed by his Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in May 2018. Following law school, he served as an assistant state attorney for the State Attorney's Office, trying over 20 cases in both jury and non-jury settings. His responsibilities included conducting pretrial hearings, depositions, and substantive motions, along with managing a caseload of over 200 cases.
