Joshua Lustenberger is an associate in the Atlanta office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Lustenberger brings a multifaceted perspective to the firm, drawing on a diverse background that spans private civil defense and criminal prosecution. He centers his practice on complex civil litigation, insurance defense, general liability, and matters specialized in workers' compensation defense.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Lustenberger served as a civil defense associate at an Atlanta-based litigation firm, where he managed written discovery, prepared procedural filings, and investigated the factual foundations of complex claims alongside expert witnesses. He was also responsible for conducting plaintiff depositions and preparing client witnesses for testimony.
Before transitioning into broader civil defense, Mr. Lustenberger developed focused experience in workers' compensation defense at a Georgia firm, where he independently handled claims from referral through resolution, evaluated case exposures, and negotiated settlements. Notably, his appellate experience includes drafting persuasive appellate arguments and presenting oral arguments for cases on appeal. Earlier in his career, he served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Rockdale County District Attorney's Office, evaluating cases for prosecution, determining plea offers, and researching, drafting, and arguing a variety of trial motions.
Alongside his legal practice, Mr. Lustenberger has more than a decade of dedicated military service in the United States Army Reserves, serving as a Platoon Sergeant and Human Intelligence Collector. In this capacity, he has managed intelligence collection teams through battalion-level certifications and served as an interim First Sergeant, earning a spot on the Commandant's List during his Basic Leader Course. Mr. Lustenberger continues his service in the Army Reserves as an Officer in the Judge Advocate General Corps.
During his academic career, Mr. Lustenberger served as a Registered Neutral with the Fulton County Landlord-Tenant Mediation Program, achieving a 95% settlement rate across mediated landlord/tenant disputes. He also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and LLM Tutor at Georgia State University, guiding foreign-trained attorneys through the complexities of U.S. legal practice.
Mr. Lustenberger earned his Juris Doctor with a Certificate in Health Law from Georgia State University College of Law in 2022. He completed his undergraduate studies at Mercer University in 2019, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
He is licensed to practice law in Georgia.
