Julia Bonnewitz is an associate in the Orlando Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where she focuses her practice on alternative dispute resolution, business and commercial litigation, contractual disputes, civil litigation, and insurance defense. She represents clients in matters involving negligent security, premises liability, product liability, property damage, wrongful death, and regulatory compliance.
Ms. Bonnewitz is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator in both circuit and family law. She represents clients at mediations, hearings, and throughout trial, with a skill set that includes drafting and negotiating petitions, motions, settlement agreements, and parenting plans. She is also experienced in preparing discovery documents and gathering critical evidence to strengthen client positions.
Ms. Bonnewitz background includes a wide range of experience across civil, family, and criminal matters. In her previous role, she managed a diverse caseload and guided clients through mediations, hearings, and trials. As a supervised student attorney in both the Family Law Clinic and the Opioid Use Disorder Clinic at South Texas College of Law, she collaborated with attorneys to provide comprehensive client services, conducted interviews, and engaged in community outreach efforts to increase access to legal resources. Ms. Bonnewitz also clerked in Orlando, Florida, where she gained trial preparation experience and assisted with federal jury selection and litigation strategy.
After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in Philosophy, from Baylor University in 2021, Ms. Bonnewitz pursued her Juris Doctor at South Texas College of Law, graduating in 2024. She was recognized with the Dean's Merit Scholarship and awarded the CALI Award for Ethical Dimensions of Criminal Practice.
