Justine Magowan is an associate in the Los Angeles Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., concentrating her practice on civil litigation, including employment and labor matters, and represents public entities and private clients in a wide range of disputes. Ms. Magowan is experienced in all stages of litigation, from drafting pleadings and motions to managing discovery, preparing mediation briefs, and supporting case evaluations and depositions.
Ms. Magowan gained hands-on experience through roles supporting complex litigation, employment matters, and alternative dispute resolution. She also served as a research assistant on projects involving scientific and expert testimony and worked in a mediation clinic assisting with landlord-tenant disputes, further strengthening her practical litigation and negotiation skills.
In 2019, Ms. Magowan received her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Tulane University, where she studied English and Theatre Performance. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings). While in law school, she served as Executive Articles Editor of the UC Law Journal and received multiple CALI Awards for excellence in intellectual property coursework. She was also a member of the school's negotiation and dispute resolution team, competing in national and international mediation and negotiation competitions. Her academic work includes a published note examining human authorship and emerging issues in generative artificial intelligence.
Ms. Magowan is admitted to practice law in California.
