Kathleen J. Mowry is a partner in the Denver Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Her practice centers on civil litigation and labor and employment law, with a focus on workers' compensation matters and addressing transportation and FMCSA violations. She has represented clients in state and federal courts, handling employment contract disputes, including wage and hour claims, sexual harassment allegations, and cases involving age, race, gender, and disability discrimination. Her extensive litigation experience also includes wrongful discharge and retaliation claims, negligence, premises liability, bad faith, subrogation, and corporate disputes among shareholders, such as breach of contract, fiduciary duties, and embezzlement.
An AV-rated attorney with over 20 years of litigation experience, Ms. Mowry also provides counseling to clients on compliance issues, personnel management, and strategies to mitigate or avoid litigation whenever possible. Before joining QPWB, she served as a partner and shareholder at a prominent firm, specializing in employment law, civil litigation, and workers' compensation defense.
Ms. Mowry earned both her undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Wyoming. She expanded her legal education by studying civil rights litigation under Justice Anthony Kennedy through the Salzburg Summer Institute.
