Kathleen A. Rothfelder is an associate in the Denver Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., Ms. Rothfelder focuses her practice on defending complex coverage disputes, first-party property matters, and bad faith claims. Her work spans a range of civil defense areas, including automotive liability, breach of contract, commercial liability, premises liability, products liability, property damage, retail and hospitality, and wrongful death. Ms. Rothfelder supports clients through all stages of litigation, from initial investigation and discovery to motion practice and trial preparation.
Before joining QPWB, Ms. Rothfelder gained broad experience in corporate, real estate, and tax matters. Her work as a law clerk included assisting with transactional and governance matters, drafting and reviewing contracts, and conducting in-depth legal research on compliance and risk management. Having a strong transactional background provided her with a unique perspective in evaluating the business and financial implications of litigation and insurance disputes.
During law school, Ms. Rothfelder served as President of both Women in Law and First-Generation Professionals, Vice President of the Business and Tax Law Society, and Business & Marketing Manager for the Kansas Journal of Law and Public Policy. She also represented the University of Kansas School of Law at Baylor University's national transactional competition, The Closer, and won the Best Overall Team at the UCLA Transactional Law Competition.
Licensed to practice law in Colorado, Ms. Rothfelder is a member of the American Bar Association, Colorado Bar Association, Colorado Women's Bar Association, Colorado Young Lawyers Association, and the Texas Bar Association.
