Kathryn Alabaugh is an associate in the Orlando hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Alabaugh focuses her practice primarily on civil litigation and insurance defense, representing clients in automative liability, premises liability, construction defect, property damage, and personal injury matters. Her meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills allows her to effectively navigate complex legal matters. Ms. Alabaugh represents clients in all aspects of insurance litigation, including drafting and filing motions and discovery, to conducting depositions and mediations.
Before joining QPWB, Ms. Alabaugh gained extensive legal experience through various internships and clerkships. She served as a Legal Intern under the Honorable Judge Craggs, at the Marion County Judicial Courthouse. Here, Ms. Alabaugh drafted case briefs, attended trial hearings, and conducted legal research. She also interned at the State Attorney's Office for the 5th Judicial Circuit, participating in jury selection and preparing memorandums, motions, and discovery. Additionally, she worked as a law clerk at a private law firm, where she honed her skills in case management, discovery, and legal writing.
Ms. Alabaugh earned her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law. During her time at Barry, she was actively involved as an Admissions Ambassador, Senior Editor for Barry Law Review, and a Dean's Study Fellow for Evidence. She also received the Book Award in Evidence for Fall 2023. In addition, she has earned multiple legal research certifications. Ms. Alabaugh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Florida.
Ms. Alabaugh is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida. Her professional development is further supported by her involvement with academic organizations, including Phi Alpha Delta and the National Society of Leadership & Success.
