Katie L. Spring is a partner in the Dallas Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., representing insurers, businesses, and commercial clients throughout Texas. She concentrates her practice on insurance defense and complex civil litigation, with a particular focus on personal injury and construction defect matters arising under commercial policies. Ms. Spring brings trial-ready perspective to every case, helping clients evaluate exposure, manage risk, and develop strategies that align with both litigation and business objectives.
With nearly 20 years of litigation, Ms. Spring has extensive experience defending high-exposure personal injury claims involving catastrophic worksite accidents, motor vehicle and trucking collisions, commercial fleet and transportation incidents, premises liability matters, slip-and-fall claims, negligent security, dram shop liability, food service liability, and products-related claims. She regularly represents carriers and insureds in cases involving significant damages and complex liability issues, guiding matters through investigation, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial. Her experience includes working closely with experts, adjusters, and corporate representatives to position cases for efficient resolution while protecting her clients' interests.
In addition to her personal injury practice, Ms. Spring has significant experience representing general contractors and subcontractors in construction defect litigation. She has defended clients across a wide range of trades, including roofing, glass, masonry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, earthwork, and concrete, in disputes involving alleged construction deficiencies and resulting property damage. She understands the technical and contractual issues that often arise in construction-related claims and works closely with clients and consultants to develop strong defenses and practical solutions.
Ms. Spring manages a substantial commercial litigation docket and has overseen dozens of active matters at any given time, handling cases from initial pleadings through dismissal, settlement, arbitration, or trial. She has served as first-chair trial counsel in multiple Texas venues and has successfully resolved matters through dispositive motions, negotiated settlements, and courtroom advocacy. In addition to her litigation work, she has led and supervised legal teams, built and managed regional practices, and maintained strong working relationships with carriers and corporate clients to ensure consistent reporting and case strategy.
Ms. Spring earned her Juris Doctor, with honors, from The University of Texas School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History, magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University.
Licensed to practice law in Texas, Ms. Spring is also admitted before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas.
