Kaylin Jolivette is an associate in the New Orleans office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Jolivette is a civil litigation and trial attorney who represents commercial clients in complex state and federal matters. She focuses her practice on general litigation, civil litigation, commercial litigation, construction disputes, products liability, professional liability, labor and employment, energy and environmental law, and appellate advocacy.

Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Jolivette practiced at prominent national and regional defense firms, building a broad civil litigation practice that spans state and federal courts across Louisiana. She represents corporate entities, insurers, and commercial clients across all phases of litigation: from pre-suit investigation, initial pleadings, and complex discovery strategy to depositions, dispositive motion practice, mediations, trial proceedings, and appellate review. Her civil defense work encompasses catastrophic personal injury, premises liability, trucking and transportation disputes, property damage claims, and high-exposure tort litigation.

Her extensive trial experience includes handling complex construction and design professional disputes involving commercial developments, residential properties, hotel facilities, and state-funded school projects. In products liability, she has defended international manufacturers, local businesses, and distributors in complex actions involving industrial equipment, medical devices, UTVs, and regulatory EPA compliance matters. Her representative litigation record extends to multi-plaintiff and multi-jurisdiction federal actions arising from paper mill and plant explosions involving nine-figure exposure, as well as energy sector disputes, workplace exposure claims, and environmental tort class actions. Additionally, she brings specialized experience in maritime litigation covering marine insurance claims, barge incidents, vessel seizures, and foreign bond payments, while routinely representing clients in labor and employment disputes, ERISA claims, and commercial arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association. Her perspective is further strengthened by prior plaintiff-side litigation experience, where she contributed to securing a multi-million-dollar jury verdict in a product liability trial.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Jolivette served as an Access to Justice Fellow with the Louisiana State Bar Association, a Special Assistant District Attorney in East Baton Rouge Parish, and a research assistant with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva. Prior to entering the legal profession, she worked as an analytical chemist.

In 2022, Ms. Jolivette earned her Master of Laws in International Law as a Rotary International Global Scholar from the Institut de Hautes Études Internationales et du Développement in Geneva. In 2021, she received her Juris Doctor and Diploma in Comparative Law from the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where she was inducted into the National Order of Barristers, served on the Board of Advocates, and was named a National Association of Women Judges Scholar. In 2017, she completed her undergraduate studies at Xavier University of Louisiana, earning a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Mathematics.

She is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana.
