Kendal C. Lewis is an associate in the Tampa hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where she leverages her knowledge of public finance, bankruptcy and creditors' rights, business financial services, and tax litigation. With a sharp focus on municipal bonds and public project financing, Ms. Lewis helps clients navigate the complexities of public utilities systems, healthcare facilities, and other large-scale developments. Her attention to compliance and regulatory detail ensures that public entities and private organizations alike achieve their financial objectives.
Ms. Lewis brings a wide range of capabilities and experience to her role, having worked extensively on matters involving bankruptcy proceedings, bond law, and financial structuring. Her prior roles allowed her to draft legal documents for multimillion-dollar public projects, analyze complex tax law issues, and advise on ensuring tax-exempt status
for 501(c)(3) organizations. Additionally, she served as a legal extern in the federal bankruptcy court, where she researched and drafted memoranda on bankruptcy topics such as reorganization, liquidation, and creditors' rights. She also attended judicial proceedings for Chapter 7, Chapter 11, Chapter 13, and Chapter 15 bankruptcies, observing various litigation styles and techniques.
Earning her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law, Ms. Lewis demonstrated academic excellence and leadership through her participation in the International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the Business Review Journal. Before law school, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance, with a minor in Psychology, from Florida State University.
