Kevin K. Ross is a partner in the Orlando hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., Mr. Ross is a seasoned civil trial attorney known for handling high-dollar and complex lawsuits across Florida and nationwide, and he has extended his expertise to international arbitration as well. His comprehensive practice spans class actions and mass torts, education litigation focused on disability discrimination, civil rights cases, employment law, nursing home neglect and abuse claims, complex litigation, whistleblower cases, transportation accidents (trucking, vessel, or aviation), products liability, ERISA and FLSA claims, governmental claims, first-party insurance disputes, and wrongful death and medical malpractice claims.
As a partner in Quintairos Prieto Wood & Boyer, Mr. Ross and his team focus primarily on defending businesses in the transportation (trucking, aviation, and maritime) industry, lawsuits involving construction defects and disputes between businesses in the construction industry, defending business owners in personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits, and representing business owners in commercial disputes, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in these matters. Mr. Ross is also admitted to the United States Tax Court and will represent individuals and business owners in disputes with the Internal Revenue Service.
Throughout his career, Mr. Ross has secured over $3 billion in settlements and verdicts, handling cases that range from $1 million to $1 billion, demonstrating his ability to navigate cases of varying complexity and magnitude. He has represented clients in state and federal courts across multiple jurisdictions, covering everything from straightforward personal injury cases to intricate multidistrict litigation, shareholder disputes, and intellectual property claims. Mr. Ross's international practice includes overseeing foreign arbitration and securing judgments for clients from Latin America and the Caribbean. He has served as national litigation coordination counsel for several Fortune 500 companies, driving efficiency and consistency in litigation strategies across multiple jurisdictions.
Mr. Ross is currently the President and Board Chair of Community Legal Services of Mid Florida, Inc., a position he has held since January 2020. CLS is the largest legal aid society in the Southeastern United States providing professional legal aid to help low-income people protect their livelihoods, their health, and their families in twelve counties throughout Central Florida. In addition to his responsibilities as the Board Chair, Mr. Ross mentors CLS attorneys and provides pro bono services to the organization's clients. Mr. Ross holds a Juris Doctor from Buffalo School of Law at SUNY and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Economics from Vanderbilt University. He is admitted to practice in Florida and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida, as well as the U.S. Tax Court.
