Kevin M. Blake is a partner in the Connecticut office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. With extensive experience in workers' compensation litigation, Mr. Blake has represented clients before the Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission and has handled complex cases involving significant workplace injuries. His practice is dedicated to achieving effective solutions for injured employees and self-insured employers, ensuring that his clients' rights and interests are thoroughly protected.
Mr. Blake has a proven track record in municipal law, having served as Corporation Counsel for multiple cities, where he advised municipal leaders on a broad range of legal matters. His experience includes drafting ordinances, representing municipalities in state and federal courts, and providing counsel on employment disputes, zoning issues, and liability claims.
A graduate of Providence College with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Mr. Blake earned his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, as well as before the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Blake is a former Connecticut Bar Association Workers' Compensation Specialist and has provided legal education through seminars and lectures on workers' compensation law and municipal governance.
Sharing his expertise through lectures and seminars, Mr. Blake has taught Connecticut workers' compensation law and procedures at the Lower Naugatuck Valley Bar Association People's School, providing valuable insights to aspiring and practicing attorneys. Mr. Blake has also conducted seminars for national companies, addressing various aspects of workers' compensation law for legal professionals. Additionally, he has educated workers' compensation adjusters on statutory updates and emerging trends before the Workers' Compensation Commission. His teaching experience extends to municipal employees, where he has delivered seminars on Connecticut Freedom of Information laws, fostering a deeper understanding of compliance and governance.
Beyond his legal practice, Mr. Blake is actively involved in his community and professional organizations. He has served as a past president of the Lower Naugatuck Valley Bar Association and has held leadership roles in local civic and fire safety organizations.
