Kevin E. Paul is an associate in the firm's Tampa office focusing his practice in the areas of first party property insurance defense, insurance coverage disputes and bad faith litigation, and personal injury claims, representing insureds and insurers in claims involving water, fire, theft, sinkhole, SIU fraud, and storm related losses through hearings and trial for both residential and commercial properties. Mr. Paul conducts examinations under oath to assist carriers with coverage determinations. He also defends carriers in motor vehicle negligence, wrongful death actions, general liability and third party liability actions. For over nine years, as a defense and foreclosure and bankruptcy attorney, Mr. Paul has represented defendants at trial and hearings on issues on residential mortgage foreclosures, collections and settlement negotiations at various Tampa Bay area law offices. Handling matters from discovery and motions to trials and appeals. Mr. Paul's experience includes serving as an assistant state attorney with the State Attorney's Office, Sixth Judicial Circuit, Dade City, Florida working both in the Juvenile and Misdemeanor Divisions; handling over 200 active cases and investigating felonies on crimes ranging from burglary to sexual battery. Mr. Paul received his Juris Doctor from Southwestern University School of Law, Los Angeles, in May 2004 and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan, in May 1996, graduating with a major in political science. He has also received training in these disciplines: "P.P.D. Trial Training Program," University of Florida Frederic G. Levin College of Law (August 2009); "D.U.I. Trial Advocacy School," Traffic Safety Resources Prosecutor Program (January 2008). He is licensed to practice law in Florida and is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Northern Districts of Florida and the Bankruptcy Courts.
