Karen C. D. Gabbadon is a partner in the Tampa office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Gabbadon practices in the areas of nursing home defense, long-term care litigation and probate, wills, and trusts. She also provides legal services for the Hillsborough County School District.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Gabbadon was an attorney with a Tampa law firm where she was procurement counsel for the Hillsborough Transit Authority and co-bond counsel for the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority.
Ms. Gabbadon received her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, Fredric G. Levin College of Law in 1993 and Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from the University of South Florida in 1990, majoring in psychology. While in law school, Ms. Gabbadon served as senior editor of the UMOJA Law Journal.
Ms. Gabbadon is licensed to practice law in Florida and is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. She is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, George E. Edgecomb Bar Association, The District of Columbia Bar, National Bar Association, and the Virgil Hawkins Chapter of the National Bar Association.
Ms. Gabbadon served on the Florida Bar Real Property Probate and Trust Law Executive Council, and served as chair of the Grievance Committee “13-D”, Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, Hillsborough County, Florida (2006-2009).
