Kristen C. Litchfield is an associate in the Houston office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Litchfield brings extensive civil litigation and courtroom experience to her practice, having handled high-exposure defense matters as well as complex criminal prosecutions. She focuses her practice on civil litigation, insurance defense, commercial litigation, premises liability, wrongful death, contractual disputes, and general liability matters.

Throughout her career, Ms. Litchfield has demonstrated strong trial advocacy across both state and federal courts. In private practice, she has successfully defended large national companies and insurers in complex tort claims involving premises liability, catastrophic fires, trucking damage, DTPA violations, and breach of contract disputes. Her litigation expertise spans every stage of a case, from initial intake and written discovery through motion practice, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.

Prior to focusing on insurance defense, Ms. Litchfield gained valuable trial and courtroom experience serving as an Assistant District Attorney in both Waller County and Harris County. During her prosecutorial tenure, she managed heavy felony and misdemeanor dockets across multiple county criminal courts at law, handling every phase of prosecution from victim intake and evidence gathering to case evaluation, motion hearings, and jury trials. Her trial successes include winning every misdemeanor case that proceeded to trial. In addition, she gained specialized experience working alongside felony division chiefs in the Human Trafficking Division of Sex Crimes and Child Exploitation. Her early legal foundation also includes judicial and governmental clerkships with the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and the Civil Division of the El Paso County Attorney’s Office.

Ms. Litchfield earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Houston Law Center in 2017, where she graduated in the top 25% of her class. While in law school, she served as an Articles Editor for the Houston Journal of International Law, competed on the Mock Trial Team, and received the LEX Award for the highest grade in Contracts. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English, magna cum laude, from Baylor University in 2013.

Ms. Litchfield is licensed to practice law in Texas.
