Kristen M. Calzadilla is an associate in the Miami Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. With a practice centered on civil litigation, appellate law, and insurance defense, Ms. Calzadilla uses her strong analytical skills to achieve efficient and effective results. She assists clients through every stage of litigation, from discovery and motion practice to appeals and resolution.
Before joining QPWB, Ms. Calzadilla developed a litigation background managing complex breach of contract, first-party property, and financial services matters. She has successfully argued motions for summary judgment, conducted depositions, and represented clients in mediations and settlement negotiations. Her experience also includes drafting licensing contracts and overseeing premises liability cases from inception through trial, reflecting her versatility across multiple areas of law.
In 2021, Ms. Calzadilla received her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where she served as Articles and Casenote Editor for the University of Miami Race & Social Justice Law Review. During law school, she was recognized with several distinctions, including the HOPE Office Summer Public Interest Fellowship, CALI Award for excellence in the Children & Youth Law Clinic II, and the Burton Young Scholarship. She also competed in the John T. Gaubatz Moot Court Competition and advocated for children and families through the University's legal clinics.
Active in her community, Ms. Calzadilla serves on the Board of Directors for the Refugee Assistance Alliance in Coral Gables. She is conversational in Spanish and has published scholarly work addressing Florida's constitutional educational mandates.
