Krystal D. Hermiz is a partner in the Grand Rapids office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Hermiz brings nearly two decades of extensive litigation experience, representing insurers, corporations, and individuals in complex civil defense matters across Michigan. She focuses her practice on insurance defense, coverage disputes, first-party no-fault (PIP) litigation, fraud and rescission claims, UM/UIM claims, premises liability, trucking and transportation litigation, construction defect, and medical malpractice.
Throughout her career, Ms. Hermiz has distinguished herself as a strategic litigator and trusted advisor, managing high-stakes dockets through all phases of litigation, including comprehensive case evaluations, motion practice, depositions, facilitations, arbitrations, and trial preparation. Prior to joining QPWB, she served in leadership and partnership roles at prominent defense firms in Michigan, where she independently managed extensive caseloads, spearheaded client portfolio expansions, supervised support staff, and mentored junior associates. Earlier in her legal career, she gained valuable judicial perspective serving as a law clerk and judicial intern to the Honorable Avern Cohn in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
Ms. Hermiz earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2008, where she served as Title Editor of the Law Review and competed on the Moot Court National Team. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2004, where she founded and served as president of the Chaldean American Student Association.
She is licensed to practice law in Michigan.
