LaTravia Smith is a partner in the Dayona Beach Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She represents insurance carriers in first-party residential and commercial property coverage claims relating to sinkhole, water, wind, and fire; and handles litigation involving claims of negligence, construction defect, and extra-contractual liability.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Smith practiced as an associate with an insurance defense law firm, where she focused her practice on first-party property claims. She also worked as an assistant public defender for the Tenth Judicial Circuit, participating as first-chair in over ten trials. Ms. Smith also taught business law and negotiations as an adjunct professor at Warner University in Lake Wales, Florida.
Ms. Smith received her Juris Doctor cum laude from Florida A&M University College of Law in 2017; she earned a Master of Laws from Vermont Law School summa cum laude in 2020 and a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from Indian River State College in 2011, graduating with a major in business administration.
Ms. Smith is licensed to practice law in Florida and is admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
