Laura A. Moffett is an associate in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. where she focuses her practice in the areas of personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, labor and employment, and general liability claims including catastrophic injury and wrongful death.
Before joining QPWB, Ms. Moffett held several senior associate positions in prominent law firms throughout Central Florida. In her most recent practice, she specialized in the defense of third-party insureds and self-insured clients in complex liability claims. Due to her successful track record in handling cases, she became a direct refer and preferred attorney for a major hotel and timeshare owner in Florida.
Previously, Ms. Moffett served as a shareholder and attorney for a family law firm. In this role, she demonstrated her versatile skill set by reconciling trust accounts, providing personalized attention to clients, and managing all firm decisions. Her early career experience encompasses a wide range of legal tasks, including preparing writs of prohibition, drafting initial appellate briefs, reviewing employment contracts for litigation purposes, drafting and revising real estate contracts, and attending real estate closings.
In 2009, Ms. Moffett received her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law and her Bachelor of Science from the University of Central Florida in 2004, majoring in legal studies.
Outside of her practice, Ms. Moffett has been actively involved in Rotary, a global service organization, where she served as the President of the Rotary Club of Altamonte Springs from 2018-2019, demonstrating her leadership skills and commitment to community service. Her outstanding dedication was recognized with the Eddie Rose "Rookie of the Year" Award in 2013 and 2014, and the Bob Leet "Rotarian of the Year" Award in 2016 and 2017. Ms. Moffett remained an active member of Rotary from 2013 through 2021, contributing her time and efforts to make a positive impact on the community.
She is licensed to practice law in Florida and is admitted in the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida.
