Lauren Garrett is an associate in the Orlando Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Her practice includes civil litigation, with concentrations in construction litigation defense. She represents general contractors, subcontractors, distributors, manufacturers and design professionals in all areas of construction litigation and transactional capacity in civil and alternative dispute resolution venues in a broad range of disputes, managing cases from pre-suit through resolution. In addition to her litigation work, Mrs. Garrett maintains a diverse transactional and business law practice, which includes contract drafting and negotiation, real estate transactions, business formation, probate and estate planning, and tax matters. Her broad scope of practice allows her to serve both individual and corporate clients with tailored legal solutions across civil, commercial, and construction-related matters.
Mrs. Garrett is a Florida Notary Public, Remote Online Notary (RON), Certified County Court Mediator, and a Licensed Florida Real Estate Associate. Her background in real estate has provided her with valuable insight into contract law and regulatory compliance, enhancing her ability to manage complex legal transactions.
Before joining QPWB, Mrs. Garrett developed valuable experience as a law clerk and legal assistant, where she drafted pleadings, briefs, and demand letters, performed legal research, and prepared exhibits for trial and hearings. Having this background has enhanced her ability to handle complex contractual and commercial matters with a detail-oriented approach.
Mrs. Garrett completed her Juris Doctor at Barry University School of Law with Honors, where she ranked among the top oral appellate advocates. She served as the Site Coordinator for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program and earned the Financial Stability Impact Award for her service. Mrs. Garrett also served as a Dean's Study Fellow and was a founding Executive Board Member of the Business Law Society. During law school, Mrs. Garrett clerked for The Hon. Judge Adam McGinnis of the Ninth Judicial Circuit and gained invaluable insight into the manner in which the Court makes decisions. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from the University of South Florida.
Having contributed over 400 volunteer hours at Sacred Heart Hospital and more than 50 hours with the Distinguished Young Women program, Mrs. Garrett has also been recognized as the Distinguished Young Woman of Walton County (2020) and was a Top 10 Scholarship Award recipient at Distinguished Young Women of Florida (2020).
