Loren H. Cohen is a partner in the Miami Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Cohen is a seasoned trial and appellate lawyer with more than four decades of experience handling complex civil and commercial litigation matters. He is known for his disciplined approach to litigation, his command of the courtroom, and his ability to distill complicated disputes into clear, persuasive arguments. Clients rely on Mr. Cohen when the legal, financial, and reputational stakes are at their highest.
Mr. Cohen focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, professional and legal malpractice, professional liability, corporate and fiduciary litigation, real estate litigation, non-compete and trade restraint cases, tort litigation defense and family law. He also has experience in SEC matters, congressional investigations, including preparing and representing witnesses in high-profile proceedings.
Throughout his career, Mr. Cohen has tried and argued cases in state and federal courts across the country, handling matters involving significant financial exposure, complex frameworks, and sensitive public issues. His practice is defined by careful preparation, strategic thinking, and an unwavering focus on achieving practical results for his clients. He is frequently consulted not only for litigation, but also for pre-suit strategy and risk management when disputes carry business-critical or public-facing consequences.
In 1980, Mr. Cohen earned his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law where he was a finalist in the University of Florida Moot Court Competition. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in 1977.
Mr. Cohen is admitted to practice in Florida, the United States District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida and the District of Colorado, the United States Supreme Court, and the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fourth, Fifth, and Eleventh Circuits. He has also been admitted pro hac vice in federal courts throughout the country.
