Lori A. Metcalf is a partner in the Scottsdale, Arizona office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Metcalf is an experienced trial lawyer focusing in the areas of construction claims, nursing home liability, governmental defense liability, employment law matters, and estate planning. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor for Arizona Summit Law School and Arizona State University teaching courses on legal writing, oral advocacy and criminal justice.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Metcalf served as a judge for the Phoenix Municipal Court for over 14 years before retiring. After law school, Ms. Metcalf served as a judicial law clerk at the Arizona Court of Appeals for the Honorable Thomas Kleinschmidt and the Honorable Edward Voss. She was also general counsel to an international construction company where she handled all litigation for the corporation and its surety in Arizona. Ms. Metcalf was an associate with two regional law firms where she practiced in the areas of municipal liability, medical malpractice, construction, surety and employment.
Ms. Metcalf received her Juris Doctor in 1991 and Bachelor of Arts in 1988 from Arizona State University. Ms. Metcalf is licensed to practice law in Arizona and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Ms. Metcalf serves as a board member for the Scottsdale Bar Association and as a member of the Steering Committee for the Arizona Women Lawyers Association. She is also the leader of a Girl Scout Troop and volunteers for the Arizona Legal Center.
