Lucinda R. Buell is an associate in the Pensacola office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She focuses her practice in the areas of insurance and general liability defense, including first-party property claims and third party liability actions, property damage, construction defect claims, premises liability, and motor vehicle liability. Ms. Buell's practice is also emphasized in the areas of commercial contracts and lease agreements relating to real property transactions, and residential and commercial foreclosure actions. .Her experience includes handling disputes involving contracts, negotiating settlements and litigating before civil and administrative courts.
For over 20 years, Ms. Buell has practiced from her law office and as an independent contract attorney alongside a South Florida property damage law firm representing first party property claims on behalf of property and business owners. Ms. Buell's experience includes representing over 50 clients in general civil litigation matters including vendor and risk management issues, landlord/tenant matters for military and civilians. In addition, and as an independent contractor, Ms. Buell has negotiated, drafted, and managed over 400 commercial contracts for the risk management legal department of a San Diego, California federal credit union.
Ms. Buell received her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law in July 1999; a Master of Laws in International Law from the University of Nottingham, England in December 1994, and a Bachelor of Arts summa cum laude from Midway University, Kentucky in May 1993. While in law school, she served as senior research editor of the Florida Journal of International Law.
She is licensed to practice law in Florida.
