Lydia Miller is an associate in the New York hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Specializing in insurance coverage defense, Ms. Miller has a strong focus on personal injury, automotive liability, bad faith, and property damage. She applies a strategic perspective to claims management and litigation, backed by extensive experience in handling complex insurance matters across various lines of business. Her practice also encompasses professional malpractice, administrative law, business and commercial litigation, construction defects, trucking and transportation, premises liability, and breach of contract disputes.
Ms. Miller has held numerous leadership positions throughout her career, including serving as Vice President and Head of North American Claim Operations for a national insurance company. In this role, she managed all administrative functions of the claims department, directed budgetary processes, and drove technological innovations to enhance efficiency and communication. Additionally, she developed key performance indicators for various claim lines and led business process outsourcing initiatives. Before this, she was an Assistant Vice President and Director for a business insurance firm, focusing on healthcare liability claims and overseeing vendor relations for commercial and specialty lines. Ms. Miller's legal career began as an associate attorney in New York, where she concentrated on medical malpractice and insurance defense.
In 1992, Ms. Miller attended St. John's University Law School to obtain her Juris Doctor. Before law school, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Business Administration at SUNY Stony Brook in 1989.
