Madison N. Whiting is an associate in the Charlotte Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Whiting focuses her practice on workers' compensation defense. She brings a strong foundation in claims evaluation, legal research, and risk-focused case strategy, shaped by hands-on experience across both governmental and private-sector environments.
Before joining QPWB, Ms. Whiting served as a law clerk with the South Carolina Workers' Compensation Commission, where she gained direct insight into commission procedures, claimant issues, and case resolution pathways. She continued building her litigation and defense experience at a Columbia-based probate and estate planning firm, where she assisted with probate matters, drafted documents for probate and estate planning cases, and communicated regularly with clients and the court. During her externship, she expanded her perspective on corporate operations, compliance, and employer-side risk considerations, an experience that complements her practice today.
In 2022, Ms. Whiting graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina Rice School of Law in 2025.
While in law school, Ms. Whiting held several leadership roles that helped refine her advocacy and analytical style. She served as Associate Editor-in-Chief for the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business (Vol. 21), led the Business Law
Association as Transactional Director, and represented the University of South Carolina Rice School of Law as the Arbitrator of Communication for the school's Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Team.
Ms. Whiting's scholarship includes a published article analyzing comparative approaches to non-compete agreements between the United States and Germany:

She is admitted to practice in South Carolina (pending North Carolina) and is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association. Ms. Whiting is also the recipient of the Best Negotiator Award at the CSOL x USCL Transactional Derby.
