Marc A. Sorin serves as Of Counsel in the Memphis office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Sorin has over three decades of experience in private practice as a trial attorney focused on professional liability litigation, arbitration, and mediation. He has demonstrated expertise in defending skilled nursing facilities construction contractors, retail businesses, and health care professionals in civil litigation, administrative proceedings, and general personal injury claims.
Mr. Sorin embarked on his legal journey as an Assistant Shelby County Public Defender, zealously representing indigent criminal defendants in a wide array of cases. Over the years, he transitioned into civil litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in all manners of civil litigation.
With a commitment to fostering strong attorney-client relationships, Mr. Sorin emphasizes clear communication and aligning with his clients' expectations as paramount. These principles continue to underpin his employment law practice, ensuring effective advocacy and client satisfaction.
A graduate of Indiana University, Mr. Sorin obtained his Bachelor of Science in Public Administration in 1988 before earning his Juris Doctor from the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at Memphis State University in 1991.
Licensed to practice law in Tennessee and Mississippi, Mr. Sorin is admitted to the U.S. District Court-Western District of Tennessee, the U.S. District Court-Middle District of Tennessee, the U.S. District Court-Eastern District of Tennessee, the U.S. District Court-Northern District of Mississippi, the U.S. District Court-Southern District of Mississippi, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Beyond his legal pursuits, Mr. Sorin is deeply involved in his community, having served on the Board of Directors of Bornblum Jewish Community School, and holding the position of Board President. A Chattanooga native raised in Memphis, TN, Mr. Sorin finds balance outside of work through exercise and indulging in literature.
