Margaret M. Efta is an associate in the Orlando office at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Efta focuses her practice on construction defect litigation and general civil defense. She represents contractors, suppliers, homeowners, and other parties in construction defect claims and ensures the execution of construction lien law enforcement, bond claims, and regulatory compliance. Her practice also includes breach of contract, business disputes, and collection matters.
Before joining QPWB, Ms. Efta was an associate with an Orlando law office engaged in Florida construction law and insurance defense where she represented general contractors, construction managers, design builders, subcontractors, suppliers, owners, architects, engineers, and others. She has also practiced in the areas of first party property insurance defense litigation involving insurance coverage disputes and investigations in premises liability, negligent security, and commercial automobile liability. She handled complex construction property damage and environmental/agricultural matters.
Ms. Efta received her Juris Doctor from Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law in May 2016 and Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in June 2013.
She is licensed to practice law in Florida.
Ms. Efta serves as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity since 2007. She is also a member of the Philanthropic Educational Organization (P.E.O.), an international women's organization, where she serves as sponsor for young women in Central Florida and beyond in various charities and scholarships since 2010.
