Marisa R. O'Connor is an associate in the Jacksonville office at Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She focuses her practice in the areas of negligence for insurers and self-insured clients. Her practice includes the defense of professionals and organizations involving medical malpractice, premises liability, wrongful death matters, general negligence, and personal injury claims.
Previously, Ms. O'Connor worked as an attorney with a Tallahassee law firm representing community development districts in Northeast Florida. Her practice involved assisting with procedures and policies, contract drafting, negotiation, and enforcement. She also worked with a general civil litigation and insurance defense law firm representing insurance companies in a wide range of civil claims and litigation matters where she handled all aspects of first party property claims, bodily injury, uninsured and underinsured motorists, bad faith claims, and coverage matters. Ms. O'Connor commenced private practice in 2014 with a Jacksonville law office handling family law and adoption cases.
Ms. O'Connor received her Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2013 and Bachelor of Arts in English Education from the University of North Florida in 2008.
She is licensed to practice law in Florida.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. O'Connor taught Advanced Placement English Language and Drama to high school students at a Duval County Public School.
