Mary McClellan is a partner in the Chicago office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. McClellan has spent three decades representing insurance companies and major corporations across the country in the areas of general liability involving insurance coverage and bad faith actions, professional malpractice, construction defect, automotive liability, trucking and transportation, premises liability, negligent security, product liability, catastrophic personal injury matters, and wrongful death actions.
Ms. McClellan has significant trial experience. She joined QPWB after serving in the role of managing and supervisory partner with an insurance defense law office in Chicago where she obtained favorable results in all aspects of litigation including managing bench and jury trials, successfully defeating actions on summary judgment, and handling dispositive motions and appeals.
Ms. McClellan has served as lead attorney for class actions, civil rights, labor and employment law issues, and building and zoning matters. Previously, she was a trial attorney with the Cook County State Attorney and the McHenry County State's Attorney's office where she tried over ten civil jury cases in both federal and state courts and 50 bench trials in the state court of Illinois. She also served as corporate attorney for Cook County.
In addition, Ms. McClellan served the McHenry County Clerk's office as Election Authority, supporting a myriad of voter and candidate services including administering elections and providing statutory law interpretation.
Ms. McClellan received her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois Chicago John Marshall Law School in 2004 and Bachelor of Science in 1999 from National Louis University, Chicago.
She is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana, and is admitted to the Northern District of Illinois District Court's Trial Bar, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois ,U.S. District Court for the District of Indiana and the U.S. Court of Appeal for the Seventh Circuit.
