McKay Worthington is a partner in the Scottsdale hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., bringing over two decades of experience in litigating multifaceted professional liability, corporate governance, business and commercial litigation, administrative law, misrepresentation, and breach of contract claims. His strategic approach to case management, including the development of innovative litigation strategies and anticipation of opposing counsel's actions, has consistently led to favorable outcomes for his clients.
Mr. Worthington's expertise in complex litigation and case management began in 1997 when he joined a prominent Phoenix law firm as an Associate. As his practice evolved, he became a trusted partner, leading teams of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff through all stages of litigation—from pre-complaint to trial. His extensive experience includes written and document discovery, expert-opinion development, legal research and writing, witness preparation, depositions, oral arguments, and trial work. Additionally, he has played a significant role in administrative functions, such as hiring, litigation training, education programs, and mentoring initiatives.
Before joining QPWB, Mr. Worthington was a Partner at an AmLaw Top 100 Arizona firm, where he handled high-stakes business, government, and administrative law cases. He managed a range of commercial disputes, including contract, tort, and statutory claims, from pre-litigation through appeals, and conducted numerous depositions, oral arguments, appellate proceedings, and jury trials.
Mr. Worthington earned his bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Utah in 1994 and went on to obtain his Juris Doctor from Columbia University School of Law. During his time at Columbia, he contributed to the Columbia Business Law Review, publishing a notable article titled: Is Your Government Contract Worth the Paper It Is Written On? An Examination of Winstar v. United States.
He is licensed to practice law in Arizona and is an active member of the American Bar Association, Maricopa County Bar Association, and the Thurgood Marshall Inn of Court.
