Meghan M. McComas is an associate in the Orlando office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., focusing on insurance defense and coverage matters in the areas of civil litigation including personal injury and wrongful death defense, nursing home and assisted living defense litigation, medical malpractice and premises liability.
Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. McComas was an associate to a personal injury law firm handling high volume caseload of claims and managing negotiations with adjusters and counsel.
Ms. McComas received her Juris Doctor from the Florida Coastal School of Law in May 2018 and Bachelor of Arts from Florida Atlantic University in May 2015, graduating with a major in business marketing and management. She was a student member of the Florida Coastal School of Law Mock Trial Executive Board, the Moot Court Honor Board, and Student Ambassadors. Ms. McComas was recipient of the CALI Book Award for Contracts II, Best Advocate of the Florida Justice Association, champion of the ELON Moot Court Competition and Zehmer Moot Court Competition and semifinalist of the ABA Moot Court Competition and National Trial Competition.
Also while in law school, she served as a judicial intern within the Fourth Circuit Court of Florida assisting with cases involving the asbestos act and medical malpractice and composing orders on appeal from county courts. Previously, she interned with the Public Defender's Office, Fourth Circuit Court of Florida aiding with Florida statutes and case law research for motions to dismiss and trial tactics.
She is licensed to practice law in Florida and Georgia.
