Mengyao Yu is an associate in the New York Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A., where she focuses on civil litigation and defends clients in state and federal courts. Ms. Yu also brings a sophisticated international and transactional background to the firm, drawing on substantial experience advising institutional clients on cross-border transactions and investments, regulatory compliance, and general corporate matters.
Ms. Yu started her journey at QPWB as a Law Clerk and transitioned to the role of Associate Attorney upon admission to the bar. Her extensive litigation background includes judicial internships at United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and New York State Supreme Court - Commercial Division, as well as an internship at New York City Law Department, Appeals Division.
On the corporate side, Ms. Yu previously spent more than four years as an associate with a prominent international law firm, rotating through its Corporate, Capital Markets, and Project Finance practices and specializing in regulatory compliance. She advised top-tier international institutions, evaluated complex business models, conducted due diligence for high-profile deals, and represented clients in government inspections and regulatory inquiries. Ms. Yu earned her Juris Doctor from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2025, where she served as an editor and board member of the Moot Court Honor Society and won awards in an international moot court competition. She also holds a Juris Master from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Bachelor of Law (with highest distinction) from East China University of Political Science and Law. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
She is licensed to practice law in New York and is admitted to practice law in People's Republic of China.
