Michael K. Chapman is an associate in the Atlanta office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.. With more than two decades of experience, Mr. Chapman is a seasoned litigation attorney who has dedicated his career to defending corporate and institutional clients in complex civil matters across both state and federal courts. He focuses his practice on national defense, high-exposure civil and commercial litigation, general liability, and financial services litigation.
Throughout his career, Mr. Chapman has developed a narrative of success as a versatile litigator and strategic advisor. In 2009, Mr. Chapman served as one of the initial attorneys of a civil defense litigation practice in the Atlanta area, joining the firm at its inception. In this role, he managed expansive litigation portfolios for corporate clients nationwide and handled every phase of the process from intake through trial preparation. Furthermore, his journey includes having served as senior counsel for complex national matters and providing essential in-house legal support for multi-state manufacturing operations, where he focused on regulatory compliance and risk management . This dual perspective of outside counsel and in-house advisor allows him to deliver sophisticated analytical reasoning and expert litigation strategies tailored to the unique needs of his clients.
In 2002, Mr. Chapman obtained his Juris Doctor from Pennsylvania State University's Dickinson School of Law. Prior to his legal studies, he earned a Master of Arts from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Georgia. Beyond the courtroom, he is a frequent presenter on litigation risk and compliance issues for prominent industry audiences.
Mr. Chapman is admitted to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia and the Eastern District of Tennessee. He also maintains long-standing affiliations with the Federal Bar Association and ACA International.
He is licensed to practice law in the state of Georgia.
