Michael T. McLoughlin is an associate in the Las Vegas office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Bringing more than 13 years of dedicated legal experience in Nevada, Mr. McLoughlin has a proven track record of managing complex civil defense litigation from initial inception through final resolution. He focuses his practice on civil litigation, professional negligence claims, civil rights violations, mergers and acquisitions, and general liability matters.
Throughout his career, Mr. McLoughlin has developed extensive expertise navigating high-stakes legal issues in both state and federal courts. He is highly skilled in formulating meticulous litigation strategies tailored to individual client needs, executing critical depositions, leading mediations, and successfully directing settlement and contract negotiations. His comprehensive courtroom experience includes regularly arguing dispositive motions and handling appellate matters before both state and federal jurisdictions.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. McLoughlin served in several prominent positions within the Las Vegas legal market, including working as a partner at a litigation firm, managing multi-million-dollar defense portfolios as senior counsel, and providing strategic corporate and regulatory guidance as Chief Legal Officer and In-House Counsel. His early foundational experience includes handling discovery, expert witness retention, and site inspections for regional civil defense operations, alongside research experience in trademark and patent law.
Mr. McLoughlin earned his Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 2006. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy from Binghamton University.
He is licensed to practice law in Nevada and is admitted to the Federal District of Nevada and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
