Michael F. Tamm is a partner in the Scottsdale, Arizona office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Mr. Tamm's practice concentrates in the areas of medical malpractice defense and long-term healthcare, professional negligence, insurance defense and extra-contractual (bad faith) claims, and contract disputes. He has represented hospitals, physicians, nursing professionals, banking institutions, other healthcare and corporate clients in all phases of litigation in federal and state court, and in mediation and arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Tamm has handled insurance defense litigation for some of the nation's largest insurers. He is recognized in Southwest Super Lawyers Rising Stars 2012-2015 and is a sustaining member of Arizona's Finest Lawyers.
Prior to joining QPWB, Mr. Tamm was a shareholder with a law firm in Phoenix, Arizona where he focused on commercial litigation, health care law, ERISA and Medicare benefits litigation. Previously, he was a partner with a national law firm specializing in general liability and consumer litigation defense where he focused on professional negligence and insurance defense, personal injury, medical malpractice, professional liability and product liability.
Mr. Tamm received his Juris Doctor from the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in May 2003 and Bachelor of Arts from the American University, Washington, D.C. in May 1999.
Mr. Tamm is licensed to practice law in Arizona and is admitted in the U.S. District Court of Arizona. He is a member of the Arizona Bar Association, Maricopa County Bar Association, American Health Lawyers Association, Arizona Association of Healthcare Lawyers, and Defense Research Institute (DRI).
In his community, Mr. Tamm was a former board member of the WellCare Foundation; the organization provided health care assistance to single working mothers and their children.
