Michelle Borell is an associate in the Miami office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.. Ms. Borell focuses her practice on civil litigation and personal injury defense, with a strong background in defending matters involving automobile liability, premises liability, negligent security, and construction defects.
Ms. Borell possesses extensive experience managing all phases of the litigation lifecycle. Prior to joining the firm, she served as an associate attorney at a defense firm, where she was responsible for drafting substantive pleadings and dispositive motions, conducting and defending depositions, and attending court appearances. Her experience also includes preparing comprehensive case evaluation, mediation, and trial reports for insurance carriers and clients.
Throughout her early career and tenure as a law clerk, Ms. Borell developed a record of conducting intricate legal research on a wide array of issues, including business and family law, real property, and probate matters. She is skilled in drafting discovery-related motions and coordinating closely with partners to execute effective litigation strategies. Her experience also includes supporting personal injury and personal injury protection (PIP) litigation, where she assisted in the preparation of demand letters and the acquisition of PIP logs from insurance adjusters.
In 2023, Ms. Borell earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Florida International University College of Law. During her legal studies, she was a recurring member of the Dean's List and was active in the Cuban American Bar Association and the Business Law Society. She also holds a Bachelor of Science from Florida International University.
