Michelle Greenway Sellers is Senior Counsel in the Memphis Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Ms. Sellers devotes her practice to defending hospitals, physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical clinics, nursing homes, and many other healthcare providers in healthcare liability litigation and regulatory matters. In addition, she practices in the areas of professional malpractice, business litigation, construction litigation, wills and estates, and personal injury litigation. Ms. Sellers is also a Rule 31 Listed General Civil Mediator and Family Law Mediator. 

With over twenty-five years of litigation experience, Ms. Sellers has built a reputation for delivering strategic, results-driven solutions for clients in both litigation and transactional matters. She is known for her excellent communication skills in and outside the courtroom and her ability to navigate complex legal issues. Throughout her career, Ms. Sellers has also contributed to shaping healthcare and insurance defense policy, guiding claims departments and corporate clients on risk mitigation, compliance, and regulatory strategies. She has represented clients in significant appellate matters, including published opinions from the Tennessee Supreme Court and Tennessee Court of Appeals.  

Before joining QPWB, Ms. Sellers built her career at a Tennessee-based firm where she practiced for over two decades. As a Partner and previously as an Associate, she defended hospitals and healthcare professionals. She also represented clients in employment law actions, professional negligence matters, business litigation, construction disputes, and personal injury cases. Her practice included drafting and negotiating employment agreements for healthcare providers, handling all aspects of litigation from pleadings through bench and jury trials, conducting depositions, preparing appellate briefs, and achieving successful outcomes through mediation and trial.  

In addition to her practice, Ms. Sellers is deeply involved in the local legal community and State Bar Organizations. Throughout her career, she has been committed to the development of the legal profession. Ms. Sellers served as President of the Tennessee Bar Association during the 2020 - 2021 bar year. Before becoming President, she served on the TBA Board of Governors in various roles for 10 years. After concluding her time in the Young Lawyers Division, Ms. Sellers served as President of the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Fellows. She also served for two years as the President of the Jackson-Madison County Bar Association. In 2011, after only ten years of practice, Ms. Sellers had the distinct honor of being selected as a Fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation and currently serves on the Tennessee Lawyers Fund for Client Protection committee. 

Ms. Sellers attended the University of Tennessee College of Law in 2000, where she earned her Juris Doctor, graduating cum laude, while serving as Vice President of the Student Bar Association, participating in the Legal Clinic, and mentoring peers as a Student Advisor. In 1996, she received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from the University of Mississippi.  

Ms. Sellers is admitted to practice before all Tennessee State and federal courts, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
