Nelson Perez is an associate in the Miami Hub of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. Having more than a decade of litigation experience, Mr. Perez represents insurance carriers in complex disputes, including insurance defense, civil litigation, and first-party and third-party property claims, from pre-suit investigation through trial.
Mr. Perez's background includes managing high-volume caseloads involving property damage, coverage issues, and statutory compliance. He has extensive experience preparing pleadings, conducting and defending depositions, and presenting at mediations and arbitration hearings. He delivers strategic litigation plans and detailed risk assessments to carrier clients across Florida.
Serving in various litigation roles, Mr. Perez represents both plaintiffs and insurers in property and foreclosure matters. He has also advised on foreclosure defense, bankruptcy proceedings, evictions, and residential lease disputes, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of the legal issues impacting real property and insurance litigation.
A South Florida native, Mr. Perez began his academic journey at Florida International University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2007. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from Nova Southeastern University's Shepard Broad Law Center in 2012.
Mr. Perez is licensed to practice in Florida and is fluent in Spanish.
