Nichole L. Cullen is a partner in the Scottsdale office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. She specializes in medical negligence, nursing home liability, and professional liability claims, with a focus on insurance defense litigation and insurance coverage and bad faith claims, as well as various types of catastrophic personal injury claims. Ms. Cullen's expertise extends to representing the State and its contractors against constitutional rights claims involving federal civil rights violations, demonstrating her proficiency in constitutional and public-policy issues, including those related to the First, Fifth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution.
Independently, Ms. Cullen handles litigation and defense for medical malpractice, wrongful death, and elder abuse (APSA) claims on behalf of client-affiliated skilled nursing facilities, including successfully trying cases to verdict. She also adeptly represents claims in alternative dispute resolution proceedings, such as Arbitration hearings and mediations. Prior to joining QPWB, Ms. Cullen gained valuable experience working for an insurance defense law firm in Phoenix and as an associate attorney for a national law firm, where she handled complex tire litigation, wrongful death cases, and all aspects of pretrial litigation within her areas of practice.
Ms. Cullen earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law in May 2010 and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona in May 2007, with an emphasis on microbiology and chemistry. Throughout her academic career, she consistently distinguished herself, earning recurrent placement on the Dean's List, serving on the Arizona Law Review, and volunteering for initiatives such as Wills for Heroes and Lawyers for Literacy.
Licensed to practice law in Arizona and admitted to the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona, Ms. Cullen continues to enhance her legal expertise, having graduated from the 2019 LTC Power Lawyers Program.
